Two key takeaways from the session:
- From the overview on Chad situation, the participants to the session got the information on humanitarian needs related to the conflict and natural disaster situation (floods) and the shelter response provided by Chad Shelter/CCCM Cluster
- The idea and approach used by Chad Shelter Cluster to transform the emergency shelter to permanent shelter could inspire other country clusters to improve and find durable solutions to IDPs according to their respective context.
- The consistent advocacy that resulted of funding twice the Chad Shelter Cluster from CERF in one year and only once for CCCM Cluster. From this, the lesson learned is that even though it is a merged Cluster, donors can be more interested by one sector than another.
