Additionally, 60% of the returnees from the Sudan conflict will also require humanitarian assistance.
The Shelter and Non-Food Items (S/NFI) Cluster will target 1.46 million most vulnerable people out of the 2.98 million in need of assistance.

Of this group, the cluster is targeting 1.4 million of the most vulnerable households to receive SNFI assistance, through in-kind distribution, cash/voucher assistance (CVA), and/or integrated settlement programming.

Recent violence in Leer County affected more than 18,000 households;

Flooding and sub-national violence remain the main driver of the shelter and non-food items (S-NFI) needs in South Sudan;More tahnk 835,000 people reported affected by the seasonal flood in 2021;About 80,000 individual displaced by the sub-national violence in Tambura region. Of this, the S-NFI Cluster assisted 46,814 people with shelter materials and basic household items;

Flooding and sub-national violence remain the main driver of the shelter and non-food items (S-NFI) needs in South Sudan.An estimated 600,000 individuals affected by the sesonal flood, more than 300,000 individuals are in immediate needs of humanitarian assistanceNew sub-national violence broke out in Tambura County in September 2021, displaced more than 80,000 individuals seeking refugee in the neighboring counties including Nagero, Ezo, Tambura, Nzara and Wau CountiesDuring the rainy most of the roads are not accesible causing delay in delivering humanitarian assistance.

Food insecurity, flooding and sub-national violence continues to affect the most vulnerable population in South Sudan. Sub-national violence continued in Pibor, Lainya, Kajo-Keji, and Yei Counties displaceing tens of thousands people.Land disputes continue to escalate in return areas due to lack of land documentation by returning populations who find their land occupied by secondary occupants.Ongoing access rights/due diligence training on housing, and property (HLP) benefiting cluster partners, state authorities and central government officials in Juba, Rubkona and Wau Counties.
