Global Shelter Cluster
GSC Annual Achievements Report 2024
In 2024, humanitarian crises triggered by conflict and disasters displaced millions of people across the globe, leading to a continued rise in shelter needs. A total of 93 million people were identified as requiring shelter and non-food item (NFI) support across 39 countries.
Despite operational challenges, Shelter Cluster partners reached 17 million people, providing 7 million with shelter assistance and 11 million with household items/NFIs. This reflects a collective commitment to delivering life-saving and recovery-oriented support in increasingly complex environments.
This year marked a major strategic milestone with the launch of the GSC Strategy 2030. Developed through broad consultations and guided by the Strategic Advisory Group, this framework sets the vision for more impactful, integrated, and sustainable shelter responses.
