Shelter Week 2024

GSC annual event - Save the date​

The Global Shelter Cluster Week 2024 was held in Geneva from 10-14 June. You can find the agenda of both the Coordination Workshop and the Annual Meeting HERE along with a note on our efforts to green the annual event. 

 

The objectives of the GSC Annual Meeting were:

  • To recognize, acknowledge and reflect on joint achievements by global and country level cluster partners;
  • To discuss hot to best manage and respond to the changes and challenges ahead of us; and
  • To discuss, share perspectives, and forge partnerships to work together to advance the 2028 GSC strategic objectives. 

Building upon last year’s event, the agenda included topics such as advancing integrated responses; reducing the environmental impact of humanitarian shelter responses; creating safe, secure, and protective living conditions; and recovery and durable shelter solutions. The event also explored how can the sector achieve optimal reach with the resources and assets available to us.

The Global Shelter Cluster Annual Meeting Interactive Report 2024 contains overviews of the GSC Coordinators’ opening and closing statements, thematic sessions, a review of achievements, and interventions, as well as information on the forthcoming GSC strategy.

The Global Shelter Cluster Coordination Workshop Interactive Report 2024 focuses on the outcomes and discussions of the Coordination Workshop, including the priority topics selected by country cluster coordinators to enhance shelter cluster coordination response efforts, and discussions on how the Global Shelter Cluster can support them going forward.
