Haiti has been facing for decades recurring crises linked to socio-political and health shocks but also natural disasters and an economic crisis. These repetitive crises have gradually deteriorated the living conditions of the populations especially in metropolitan area of Port-au-Prince.

During the first quarter of 2022 the partners continued their assistance in the areas affected by the earthquake and began the more sustainable reconstruction using mainly the  TCLA’s technique; 136 871 people were reached.

However, the resurgence of violence and demonstrations in September 2022 greatly impacted the response capacity of partners, many have reduced their presence in Haïti. As of 31 December 2022, 186 871 individuals have been reached with shelter and NFI assistance.
