This report examines the environmental impact of Shelter and Non-Food Item (SNFI) interventions in Ethiopia’s Internally Displaced Person (IDP) sites, drawing on observations from locations in the Northwestern Zone (Tigray Region) and the Somali Region. The outcome of this exploration underscores the growing need to strike a balance between humanitarian assistance and environmental sustainability in both emergency and protracted displacement contexts from document).
