How are shelter and settlements messages communicated with crisis-affected people?

The Shelter Compendium contains case studies, analysis and technical review of education, and communication (IEC) materials developed in past shelter responses. The accompanying database (iec.sheltercluster.org) of over 700 IEC materials has been developed to support faster development of common technical messaging in crisis responses.

Along the way, in collating the materials, we unearthed many opinions and were able to improve our understanding of how the materials were developed and how we can improve the quality, effectiveness, and impact of messaging.
