The publication of this booklet forms the Housing Standards for the Commonwealth of Dominica.

All construction plans must be submitted to the Physical Planning Division for approval.

This project was developed by the Ministry of Planning, Economic Development and Investment, with funding from the Government of the People’s Republic of China and the assistance of UNDP and Engineers Without Borders.

This booklet was informed by the Informal Housing Retrofit Construction Pilot Project administered in Dominica by the National Development Foundation of Dominica (NDFD), with technical input from Safe Shelter Initiative (SSI) with credit to USAID, OECS, OAS and CRDC.
