Through this Emergency Appeal, the IFRC aims to support the VRCS in the response to TC Lola, and will take the wider country context into account, especially considering the existing underlying vulnerabilities from Category 4 and above cyclone impacts in the past four years, COVID-19 lasting impacts, the current El Nino, as well as the predicted heightened cyclone season. The IFRC response will be to contribute to Relief, Early Recovery, Recovery, and ongoing Preparedness and resilience building and will focus on the following areas: Shelter, Livelihoods and Multi-purpose Cash, Health & Care including Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Protection and Prevention. These sectors will be enabled by support in Shelter cluster Coordination, National Society Strengthening, external coordination and IFRC secretariat services to support VRCS.
