Description
This case study is part of our compendium series illustrating examples from humanitarian organizations having reduced or modified their packaging to make it more sustainable. This one looks at Save the Children International (SCI) has been working to make its supply chain more sustainable. The organization has in place a supplier sustainability policy and a 'Sustainability Pledge,' as well as sustainability criteria to evaluate prospective suppliers. As part of this effort, SCI also aims to drive localization in the countries where it works through sustainable procurement.
