In the aftermath of the destructive 2022 floods in Pakistan, CRS is actively engaged in a collaborative initiative with SPHF/Sindh People's Housing for Flood Affectees to achieve the overarching objective of rebuilding safe, dignified, and resilient homes for 2.1 million families.

A recognized challenge in this endeavor is the necessity for comprehensive technical and social support during the reconstruction process.

This involves ensuring that both households and local masons have a clear understanding of the minimum flood resilient housing reconstruction standards, and cash grant disbursement process guidance.

IEC materials were developed and tested in English and two local languages.
