The Working Group met on May 20th and 21st in Care International UK’s offices in London. The workshop was attended by several NGO’s and International organisations as well as four independent persons. The workshop had several aims. 
o To provide the first round of feedback on the use of the Promoting Safer Building Protocol developed by the Working Group, led by David Dalgado which was trialled in the response to Cyclone Idai in Mozambique. 
o Discuss the communications scoping review, main conclusions and the identified next steps
o Discuss some of the guiding principles for supporting self -recovery
o Discuss the Shelter Response Profiles and new tools for assessment on Local Building Cultures
o Re-define the mandate of the Working Group
o Identify potential research activities and opportunities
