New Training from IFRC: 'Introduction to Rental Assistance Programming'!
IFRC have just realeased a new course on rental assistance programming which is now available on the IFRC Learning Platform. The training is available in English at the moment, with Arabic and Spanish versions expected in early 2022. Through this course you will learn what is rental assistance programming, and how we can use it to help people access adequate and affordable accomodation, stay safe, and retain their dignity.
From IFRC: 'Rental assistance is a flexible and versatile programming option to help affected people gain or maintain access to a place to call home and it is especially suitable for urban settings and for populations on the move. When done properly, rental assistance accelerates the recovery process, reduces socioeconomic impact of disasters and crises (learning from COVID!) and supports social protection. It is a holistic programming approach that consolidates thinking from cash, protection, inclusion, migration, displacement, livelihoods, recovery, social protection, urban, NS preparedness, HLP and shelter.'
You can access the training at the link below, as well as IFRC's Step by Step Guide for Rental Assistance.
