Technical Working Groups (TWGs) are created as needed to tackle specific issues. The Sustainable Shelter Solution (SSS) TWG is co-lead by IOM and UNHCR. Both agencies will assign a designated technical focal Points to support the group's activities. the proposed thematic technical solutions group, shall operate for a limited time until the goals outlined in the Terms of Reference hereunder are accomplished within a maximum of eighteen (18) months and subject to revisions responsive to scale-ups or disengagements as maybe necessary.
Given Somalia's ongoing and multifaceted crisis, which includes a complex protracted crisis, drought, famine, and flooding disasters. Therefore, addressing sustainable shelter solutions remains an integral aspect of the shelter cluster response coordination and critical contributions to the recovery of affected population, national capacity enhancement and response transitioning to development assistances on exit.
