14th April Shelter Cluster Meeting
Action Points from the Meeting
- Shelter Cluster Partners to remember that there is a National Sector Platform and they are invited to participate online bimonthly. The next national meeting will be 31st May at 15:00.
- Shelter Cluster partners to ensure that they report all activities to the Shelter Cluster. There is no need to report your Cash and Voucher activities to the CWG tool as the Shelter Cluster has agreed to share all sectoral cash and voucher activities with the CWG. Please avoid double reporting as that could create fatigue for partners, create misunderstanding and inaccurate information.
- Shelter Cluster partners to join the Shelter Cluster Whatsapp group. Please make sure that you are sharing relevant Shelter and NFI content in the group and not things unrelated to the group topic. https://chat.whatsapp.com/KkYfozHRlQrE3D9i5e48g1
- Shelter Cluster partners are reminded that you can report on the Transfer Value and also on environmental mainstreaming activities through the 5W. Many thanks to NRC and SHUMAS who reported for the month of March in these categories. Please use the 5W tool to ensure you are reporting on all required categories and keep using the online dashboard for reference.
- NRC will develop a lessons learned document on the repairs project based on the post distribution monitoring exercise which is ongoing.
- Shelter Cluster partners to share updated price monitoring data with the Clusters. If data is not shared it will not be possible to adjust technical guidance and inform donors about the changes to the costs in achieving the basic standards.
- UNHCR to share the list of locations of where they are planning on implementing their cash for Shelter and NFI activities to the 5W.
- Shelter Cluster team to communicate dates for Workshops in the West and Littoral partners to make a better connection with the partners there. It would be good if as many partners from the NW and SW can come to share learnings with partners based in these two regions.
- Shelter Cluster to circulate the 2022 Strategy to ask for updates from Cluster partners to update the Strategy document. This revised strategy should also ensure the mainstreaming of preparedness.
- Shelter Cluster to announce dates for preparedness workshop in the second quarter of the year.
- COHESODEC to share updated list of burnt shelters with the Shelter Cluster team.
- REACH Out needs to report their activities to the 5W. It is important before you do distributions and activities to coordinate with the Shelter Cluster.
- All Cluster partners are to report PLANNED activities. Take time especially DRC to add the planned locations to the 5W.
