Discussion on Strengthening Participation, Representation and Leadership of Local and National Actors in Shelter Cluster activations
Hello Shelter Cluster Coordination Community of Practice subscribers,
We are sharing the recently published IASC guidance on Strengthening Participation, Representation and Leadership of Local and National Actors in IASC Humanitarian Coordination Mechanisms. The guidance has been developed to support efforts to strengthen the meaningful participation, representation, and leadership of local and national humanitarian actors within IASC humanitarian coordination structures, including clusters.
As the introductory discussion for this CoP, we are wondering if you have any thoughts on operationalizing the recommendations in our own Cluster operations? Any related experiences you can share that would help others?
Please feel free to respond to this thread to let us know…
We’ve also attached some relevant documents from the 2021 Grand Bargain meeting that propose actions to move this initiative forward.
