Shelter Response Profiles are part of a broader set of tools and documents developed and used to facilitate contextualization of responses. This document provides reference data on local building cultures and sociocultural strategies that contribute to people's resilience. It also presents evaluation criteria that can assist in elaborating locally adapted project strategies. The target audience includes local, national, international, governmental, non-governmental, and civil society actors involved in the prevention, preparedness, and response to humanitarian crises (disasters or conflicts) in the shelter, housing, and human settlements sector.
