Shelter Week 2024

Registration for in-person participation to the Global Shelter Cluster Annual meeting is open – from today to Friday, 10 May 2024.

GSC annual event - Save the date​

The 2024 GSC Annual Meeting will take place in Geneva at Palexpo, located within walking distance of Geneva airport.

The Annual Meeting starts at 14:00 on Wednesday, 12 June 2024 and ends at 18:00 on Friday, 14 June 2024 and is an in-person event, with plenary sessions to be streamed online. (Registration is only required for in-person participation.)

Kindly note that travel to and accommodation in Geneva and lunches during the Annual Meeting will be at participants' own costs.

GSC annual event registration​

The GSC Annual Meeting's objectives are  

  • to recognize, acknowledge and reflect on joint achievements by global and country level clusters partners;  

  • to discuss how to best manage and respond to the changes and challenges ahead of us; and  

  • to discuss, share perspectives and forge partnerships to work together to advance the 2028 GSC strategic objectives.  
     

Building upon last year's event, the agenda will include topics such as advancing integrated responses; reducing the environmental impact of humanitarian shelter responses; creating safe, secure and protective living conditions; and recovery and durable shelter solutions. Also, we will explore how we can achieve the optimal reach with the resources and assets we jointly have.  

There will be opportunities for participants to share their work, make announcements, and/or inspire peers through a 3 min intervention on Wednesday, 12 June afternoon and or set up a stall. Partners can also propose to organize a breakout session (30mins) on Friday, 14 June 2024. If you are interested in hosting a session, kindly state this information in the registration form. Should your proposal be selected, organizers will contact you with more details. 

The GSC Annual Meeting is open to individuals, agencies, institutions, and not-for-profit organizations interested in humanitarian shelter and settlements.
