According to PRMN report, a significant number of 38,049 individuals have been displaced between January and February 2024. The primary reason for displacement was due to the severe consequences of Deyr floods, drought and conflict/insecurity.
The top five regions that have received the highest number of newly displaced individuals are Gedo, Lower Juba, Banadir, Middle Juba and Bari regions. The report highlights that the second most urgent priority need reported is shelter.

January 2024
According to PRMN report, a significant number of 13,331 individuals have been displaced due to the severe consequences of Deyr floods and conflict/insecurity.
This displacement took place in January 2024. The majoirity of those displaced have arrived in Mogadishu, Afmadow, Baardheere, Belet Xaawo, and Doolow.
Among the top five priority needs reported, shelter emerged as the second most crucial need after food.

According to PRMN report, over 2,945,000 individuals have been displaced due to the devasting impacts of floods, drought and conflict/insecurity between January and December 2023. Most of these displaced people have arrived in several distircts, namely Beletweyne, Baardheere, Gaalkacyo, Mogadishu, Baidoa, Saakow, Kismayo, Luuq, Garowe and Garbahaarey districts. Among the displaced people, three critical needs have emerged as the top priorities: food, shelter and livelihoods.
